PROVENANCE :
The original owner was Lucie Spaulding of Buffalo, New York – a genealogy report shows the Spaulding family traced back to the Mayflower!

It has a well known and documented provenance –Lucie Spaulding as shown on the Chassis order sheet, Stuart Welch of Buffalo New York by 1941, Collector Dr. Leon Miller by 1962 as shown in the Flying Lady publication, then Ron Cooperman of Pennsylvania from 1962 to 1997. Charles Anderson purchased the car in 1997. Mr. Anderson had the engine rebuilt, along with many other restoration and maintenance items documented by receipts, copies of which will be provided to the new owner. Subsequent to his passing the car was sold through an intermediary to the current owner, a British car enthusiast who is downsizing his collection.

Let’s note the beautiful design – long hood, sweeping fenderline, and beautiful formal coachwork with polished aluminum accents!

THE ROLLS-ROYCE 20/25 SERIES
Built from 1929 through 1936, only 3,827 were built. All were right hand drive, and most were built with English coachwork. There were only 4 cars total that were shipped to Brewster ! The chassis is equipped with the Rolls-Royce 3,680 CC six cylinder inline engine, 4 speed manual gearbox, and 4 wheel drum brakes.

THE CAR OFFERED:
This car was fitted new with open front town car coachwork by Brewster of New York, suitable for chaufer driven operation. It has an especially attractive design, using the rear mounted spare to accent the length of the fenders and hood, and a hood design that extends from radiator shell to windshield.

It is in beautiful condition – the paint is excellent, black, deep and smooth. The Plating is wonderful, and the wheel discs add a touch of elegance. The rear compartment is all original, and is in wonderful condition! Only a small trace of wear shows on the rear seat, and the wool carpeting has been appropriately replaced. The wood trim is also original and in excellent condition, with only the slightest bit of age showing.

This is a car that has been wonderfully cared for and loved by Rolls-Royce enthusiasts going back to the dawn of the Classic Car hobby. It has never been subjected to a frame-off restoration, but rather carefully enjoyed and maintained by people who appreciated a well-preserved and rare example of a fine motorcar. Although not a top show car, it is in wonderful condition and ready for the new owner to enjoy without hesitation!
