1941 Cadillac 60 Special with Sunroof!

Here is a beautiful car in a dramatic setting – This car is a full CCCA classic, and has the extremely rare factory sunroof option! We think there were only 185 cars built with the sunroof.  And, this car definitely is an original sunroof car, it has the “SA” suffix on the trim tag.

Here’s a great view of the car, showing the sunroof feature – it’s a big sunroof, it gives you the effect of a convertible, but keeps the solid, no-rattles body structure that we all love in a touring sedan!

Here’s the famous ’41 Cadillac front end, a styling triumph for Harley Earl and Bill Mitchell, the designers who made this car happen at the GM art and color department.

Every angle on the car looks great! There are so many great details, such as the gas filler located below the left side tailight, sparing the car from an unsightly square flap on the fender!

This car is a CARAVAN veteran, and is in excellent condition, both cosmetically and mechanically. It runs great,  and it has a couple of very tastefully added modern conveniences – Power Steering and Front Disc Brakes!  You have to look really close to see them, but you can definitely feel the ease of operation.

And here is a video of the car in operation!

Stunning in profile. Note the Fleetwood script on the fender extension, and the beautiful maroon  paint.

Here we are looking out through the sunroof.  It’s an easy operation, just rotate the latch and slide it back. Also note how nicely the visors and headliner are trimmed.

Looking out over the hood, and the beautifully restored steering wheel.

Wow!  look at that dashboard! Beatifully restored, with proper woodgraining and beautiful chrome.

Excellent interior, with wool upholstery and carpeting. The doorpanels look exactly correct, although the fabric is an extremely authentic looking modern fabric.

There’s the doorpanel, in the correct pattern and style. Also note the nice wood door sill trim.

Here’s the driver’s side – inviting you to drive the car!

Factory heater and defroster – believe it or not, this was an option!

Beautiful gauges and speedometer, all of which work properly. Also, when the headlights are on, the instruments lights are nice and bright.

I note the radio isn’t working, nor is the clock.

Excellent rear compartment

More excellent rear compartment.

Excellent headlining

Here is the stock and correct Cadillac 346 cubic inch V-8.  It runs great – smooth, quiet, with all the power you would expect from a big, luxury car.

Here you can see the new and correct wiring harness , done in the cloth insulated wire just like when it was new.

The “style No. 41-6019SA” is the key to the factory sunroof.  “SA” is the indicator for sunroof, or, as the factory called it, “Sunshine Roof”

Excellent chrome, especially these die-cast hood trim pieces.

Excellent chrome on this pit-free grille

The car is in excellent condition, but it isn’t perfect. I noted a few chips in the paint, such as these on the driver’s rear fender.

And these at the edge of the hood.  This is a beautifully done and wonderfully maintained car, but it’s not a show car.

Nice clean trunk with spare

The modern shocks improve the ride quality of the car.

Excellent chrome and rubber fenderguards

One final view of the incredible sunroof

What a great looking car!

Imagine yourself on tour with this fine car!
