Here’s a 1943 International Military 4X4 Truck. Made for the US navy , and then sold on the surplus market after the war.  Local Orange county farmer Henry Ponteprino bought it after the war for his Avocado farm.  It is a barn find in the best sense of the word, residing in the same farmhouse barn since 1945!

International built these tough 4×4 Trucks for the US navy. This one is remarkably original, right down to the 2 bucket seats.

Visualize this truck with no cab and an empty bed, and that’s how it was delivered.  There is a large tank with compressor mounted on the bed now, used for some sort of farming application. The plywood cab was made by Henry Ponteprino for use on his farm.

This is an old overhead photo of the actual barn this truck lived in since 1945!

Although dusty and dirty, it looks very well preserved.

And it has a clean California title!

Here’s more detail on the compressor.

Wipe off the dust and you have an amazingly well preserved cockpit. The dash and gauges are in good shape.

Those are the original International Bucket seats.

It wouldn’t be a government contract without a detailed manufacturer nameplate!

Here’s the six cylinder International flathead engine.  It hasn’t run in a long time, and the new buyer gets to wake it up!

Now that’s a serious brush guard!

It’s in an accessible location, reachable by flatbed tow truck.  We’ve already pulled a truck out of this location by that method.  All shipping and towing is at the buyer’s expense, but we’ll co-operate with you or your shipper to get the truck loaded and on the way to you.

See the vehicle contract cancellation option agreement for details.
