This 1957 Chrysler 300 C, in its original color Gauguin red, with 375 Horsepower 392 cubic inch Hemi engine, pushbutton torqueflite transmission, Power steering, Power brakes, radio, heater and COLD air conditioning is spectacular in every way!  The icing on this cake is it was the ACTUAL CAR used for the US Post Office series of stamps ” 50’s Fins & Chrome ” !

It was beautifully frame-off rotisserie restored  to correct and factory authentic condition, and it has a copy of the original build card and the translation from the Chrysler 300 Club!

The Guaguin Red paint is of the absolute highest quality! The bodywork underneath is beautiful and straight, the doors, hood and trunk fit exactly as they should!

Excellent interior!

img_7064.

Excellent rear compartment !

img_7045.

I love the chrome ribs in the headliner – they evoke the original  idea of the hardtop – the look of a convertible, with no center post, but the convenience of a leak-free fixed roof!

Power seat and a beautiful “300” step plate

img_7068.

The highest quality throughout!  Note the pushbutton transmission control. To start the car, you turn the key and then push the “N” switch all the way down.

img_7069.

The door edges, weatherstripping and doorpanels are just beautiful!

img_7071.

Beautiful doorpanels and look how nice the inner doorjambs are – everywhere you look this car was done right!

img_7072.

Beautiful!  Note the air conditioner was added to the car in a professional and unobtrusive way. And, it works great! the A/C is SUPER COLD!

img_7074.

The radio face, knobs and dial is absolutely gorgeous! And, the radio works!  It also has an unobtrusive cable to hook up to your Iphone or MP3 player!

img_7051.

What a beautiful engine bay! FIREPOWER! That’s a 392 Hemi with dual quads and 375 Horsepower!

img_7049.

Gorgeous engine bay! It is a 1957 Chrysler 300 Engine, but it isn’t the original engine for this car, it’s about 8 digits different than the original engine as shown on the Chrysler IBM card.  The original engine was 3NE571839, and this one in the car is 3NE571947.  We understand both Chrysler 300 Clubs accept this with no deduction – the key being that it still has a 300 engine. The “3NE” prefix shows it was a 300 engine.

img_7052.

It’s unusual to see a car with this level of finish.

img_7054.

Nice Cad Plating on the brake booster.  And look further down and see how clean the firewall is, and the clean finish on the steering box.

img_7061.

All the labels and stickers are present and look like new!

img_7060.

Beautiful finish underneath the hood!

img_7079.

Its beautiful inside the trunk too!
