Wow!  Here’s a true California Original, a 1963 Pontiac Bonneville 2 door Hardtop, with 389 4 Barrel engine, 3 speed Hydramatic transmission, Factory AC, Power steering and brakes, and an unbelievably good original interior!  And it runs and drives beautifully!

This was the height of the wide-trak era – this car was designed to look low and wide.  This is all original chrome, and it is in really good shape.

It’s the original color, Cameo Ivory, with one repaint.

I bet this is the original dealer, Crestview Pontiac / Cadillac. Note the original California Black license plate, the original one issued to the car.

Here is the original interior, in astonishingly good condition.  They put so much detail and design into the interiors, there’s lots to look at here!

Look at that DASHBOARD! it is a work of art in Chrome, plastic and steel!

As we view the dash, we see the speedometer and guages.  Below it, the shift quadrant indicator. then, the first Radio looking thing is actually the heater / AC control. Then, to the right, is the AM radio, which doesn’t make any noise.

There they are in more detail. The interior chrome is very good, with only very light pitting.

The Bonneville panel in the dash is clear plastic, with the Bonneville letters underneath – it’s a very cool effect, and it is in excellent shape.  you can see the original carpeting looks a bit old, and could probably stand to be replaced.

These doorpanels are awesome, in that beautiful original metallic vinyl that really stands out!

Excellent original back seat and rear compartment

Original headliner in matching red.

Beautiful speaker grille

Incredibly good original interior.

Beautiful clear instrument plastic, and all the dash lights work too.  I had to have the vinyl dash pad replaced, the old one was cracked. It was done in matching red metallic vinyl

All 4 headlamps are the original T-3’s.

What a great design!  You can see the nice thick tire tread on the tire in this early morning view.

The paint on the car is shiny, and the body is straight.  The paint is older, and it has a number of chips, scratches and minor flaws. You could either drive it the way it is, or repaint it. Here it is in profile

And here it is in side view. Note the paint flaw just ahead of the rear bumper.

Some very light bubbling at the left lower corner of the rear window.

Super straight and rust free underneath

Excellent tail light lenses. The tail light chrome surrounds have some very light pitting.  It’s the original chrome!  I think we have to give it some credit for lasting this well for the last 50 years!

Here’s the trunk, with jack, base, lugwrench and bumper piece, and the original springy jack retainers.   The sheetmetal of the trunk pan was replaced.

The original Cameo white paint on the inner trunk lid.

Here’s the original 389 4 Barrel engine, which runs GREAT!  This car is an absolute pleasure to drive.  The engine is quiet and powerful, the transmission works great with that hydramatic smoothness, the brakes stop nice and straight.  This car was taken car of nicely, it’s currently registered to the original black plates.  You’ll note the AC belt is not installed, presumably the AC will need some work.

As we look at the engine, even though it’s not show detailed, many of the service items are fresh, like the radiator hose, the power steering pump, and other things. This is a well maintained car, and it drives and behaves that way.

Some chips and paint cracking here on the right quarter panel.

A great survivor car, ready to enjoy now as it is!
