1968 CHRYSLER 300 CONVERTIBLE

Wow!  Here is an extremely rare 1968 Chrysler 300 Convertible, one of only 2161 Built!  And this one is beautifully done in it’s original color of  Silver Haze Metallic, a recent paint job of high quality.

And here it is showing it’s new Convertible power top.  The top boot is new also, and looks great.  Note the blacked out rear tailight panel, special to the 300 series

A great looking car!  And, totally rust free and straight.

Beautiful and straight on both sides!  Note the factory hubcaps, and the fender ornaments.

More crisp lines on the quarter panel.  Absolutely spectacular!  Nothing like a well kept California car!

Look at how nice the dashboard is – no cracks or splits, and excellent chrome trim and surfaces.  Let’s talk about how loaded up with options it is:

There’s the beautiful dashboard, and the Tilt-Telescope steering wheel.  The Telescoping feature is activated by turning the serrated ring in the center.

The interior is almost 100% original!  that shows how well this car has been kept.

The top bows and header are in great shape!  The top operates perfectly.

440 Cubic inches of Chrysler Power!  This car runs great, and has been used on recent long trips.  It’s ready for adventure now.

Here’s the trim tag.   the CM27 means Chrysler 300 Convertible, and the 81 means 440 4 barrel engine.

Stock and authentic, the way we like to see ‘em !

Nice trunk compartment.  It’s carpeted, but as we’ll see, the trunk is astonishingly solid.

Wow!  All original sheetmetal, super solid. There has been a little bit of black spray can applied, but this trunk is a righteous, rust free original, with only the lightest surface rust!

Here it is from below – THAT is the reason you buy a rust free California car – for solid, excellent sheetmetal like this.  You will never find the evil mix of bondo over newspaper on THIS car!

The gas tank was reconditioned not too long ago.  So were the brakes.  This is a car that is ready to enjoy now!

Those headlight doors look cool, but they do not work all by themselves.

All Four power windows and both vent windows work great.

Here’s another little flaw, the tailight has a crack in it, near the lower edge, center.
