A beautiful and fully restored 1931 Cord L-29 Cabriolet.  Front wheel drive, Chrome wire wheels, hood long enough to land an airplane on, 8 cylinder Lycoming power.  Sexiest looking car of 1931 !
Ralph Evans, a well known Cord L-29 enthusiast, commissioned the restoration, and it was very nicely done indeed, in the same colors as the Cord L-29 Indianapolis Pace car.
You'll note the body was built in the 1970's by the famed west coast craftsman, Marcel Delay.  Marcel's bodybuilding talents were legendary, he could form the metal to the exact same shape as the original.  We are presuming the car originally had a sedan body.
Pretty impressive - note the beautiful rear bumper, and the dainty luggage rack.
These cars don't have a bad angle anywhere - beautiful anywhere you look.
Here you can see the front drive mechanism and suspension.
Wow!
A technological tour de force
Here's the big lycoming straight 8 - it runs great - nice, smooth, and even.
Lovely chrome wire wheels.
Nice and clean underneath, too.
More clean undercarriage.
Here's the sidemount.
Step plate, with "CORD" embossed in.
Very recent leather interior, the top was just recently redone as well.
Clean and crisp doorpanel, with proper handles.
Dashboard nicely done.
Here's the shift lever - which goes all the way forward to the transmission.
Nice fresh top fabric.
Another view of the dash.
All in all, a very impressive and beautiful machine !
