The 1932 Lincoln KB is an absolute masterpiece of engineering, a car that propelled Lincoln to the very top of the Classic Car world in one brilliant effort!  Let's think about how impressive this car was - and still is, and how well it compares with it's competitors of the day:
  • 447 Cubic inch V-12, with 7 main bearings - one for each pair of pistons
  • Dual barrel downdraft carburetor
  • 150 Horsepower, and, more importantly, 292 foot pounds of Torque!
  • Giant Power assisted brakes
  • 145 Inch wheelbase
  • 3 Speed transmission, with synchro-mesh
  • 18" wire wheels and sidemounts
  • Giant Headlamps
  • full instrumentation
  • Thermostatically controlled Grille shutters AND hood louvers
The car we see here today is an incredibly good car, with an all original interior that still looks and feels wonderful!
The paint and bodywork is beautiful, in correct colors that look perfect for the era.
This photo shows the wonderful proportion of the car - long car, long hood.  Proper balance atop the wheelbase. Perfect.
I drove this car, and it was a very pleasant experience indeed.  It starts right away, has great oil pressure, it runs cool, and has plenty of power.  It has that difficult to describe feeling of " tightness " - when it negotiates bumps and road irregularities, it doesn't shake, rattle, or feel like it's about to come apart.  Instead, it feels like it was built yesterday - very solid, very nice. The Front suspension is great, with no play or sloppiness, and the brakes are very, very powerful.  I really enjoyed the drive, with my only complaint that the second gear synchro seems week, the car likes to be shifted into second at low RPM.
The 32 KB is my favorite year, strictly based on the styling, these cars just look right all the way around.
Beautiful from every angle
That's a great looking car!
Excellent!
This is the ORIGINAL interior, and it is amazingly good - it still feels nice, it's not deteriorated or stained or anything like that.  It is just awesome.  My only complaint are a couple of extremely - and I mean extremely - small moth holes.
Unbelievably good!
Excellent doorpanels, with rich beautiful wood trim.
The wood trim looks like new.
These are the "Auxilliary seats"  - just a flat cushion, no seat back.
the original carpeting and heel pad. this shows how nicely this car has been treated over the years !
Beautiful wood and pull shades.
Ashtray and lighter.
Courtesy lamps - 2 of the 3 are working.
Here's the dashboard and steering wheel.
Beautiful original dashboard.  Gas gauge, clock and speedo needle aren't working now.  All else, including the odometer, work properly.
Glovebox with original furry lining.
Nice!
Subtle damascening on the dashboard is beautiful.
Excellent steering wheel, note all three control quadrants are present.
Here's the body tag underneath the front seat.
I Love those headlights, they throw off a lot of luminescence!
good looking engine - 447 cubic inches of torque and power!
Here's the left side of the engine.
Here's the chassis number
Nice tailights, they work of course.
the right side tailight lens has a crack in it
Here's the right side parking light, with a little crack lower right.
Correct air cleaner and carburetor.
The Blue Lincoln emblem - only the big KB's had a blue emblem, the smaller KA's had a red one.
Here's another detail that impressed me - the windshield frame is perfect, with no signs of rust or repair.  Often, the windshield frames will trap water and rust from the inside, and you can see them bubbling.

This windshield frame is beautiful and solid, another window into how well this car was treated.

Here's a top view of the headlight, you'll  note the headlight shell has a small crack at the top.
This is a beautiful and impressive car, which any Classic Car enthusiast could be proud to own.  Why not make yourself that enthusiast ?
