One of only One ever built!  Bohman & Schwartz were commissioned to make this 1940 Buick Limited Phaeton - you'll note windwings, and an open side area - making for a beautiful and graceful design.  We believe it was ordered for Shirley Temple, the movie star.   Prior owners include Lorin Tryon, the former chairman of the Pebble Beach concours!
Of course, it's a full CCCA Classic, eligible for all tours and events.  It's amazing how much the Bohman & Schwartz conversion to the Phaeton body style impacts the design - the car is cleaner, more open, and looks longer than the convertible sedan!
It's in beautiful condition!  Note the excellence of the plating, and the wonderful paint.
Dramatic lines, combined with excellent restoration.
None other like it!
Note the dual sidemounts!
The Limited series 80 was the top of the line open car that year for Buick.
The steering wheel and dashboard look like brand new!
I love the damascened finish on the Buick Dashboards.
Horn ring like new!
Can't get enough of the engine turned finish!
Here's the buick Sonomatic Radio!
Wow!
Excellent leather interior
Excellent rear compartment
Inviting!
Fisher body tag.
Nice clean inner top and top bows.
More top bow detail.
Excellent!
Here's the big 320 Cubic inch Straight eight, correct for the 80 series. Plenty of power here!  Rated at 165 HP.
Note the correct silenced air cleaner.
Manifold side.
Nice and new wiring harness
The chrome plating on this car is in wonderful shape!
Bohman & Schwartz body tags, on both sides of the car.
Nice doorhandles.
Buick folks will know this 320 cubic inch engine is from a 1950 Buick,  but will also know the engine is the same as a 1940 320 engine.  No point deduction would be made here in Classic Car Club of America judging.
I love the turn signals!
Look how nice that grille is!
The runningboards are good, but not perfect.  there are minor flaws here and there.
Excellent windshield wiper detail.
Oops, a ding on the stainless here.
It's an awfully nice car
One of One!
