This 1959 Chevrolet Viking 40 1-1/2 Ton is done in the resto-mod style, with crate Chevy 350 V-8, 5 speed manual transmission, air conditioning, and more!  It was done to a very high standard, frame-off. It’s clean and new looking underneath, and  looks stock but enjoys the modern conveniences!

IMG_3843.

At first glance it looks like a beautifully restored original truck – what you can’t see from this view is the modern 350 V-8 and 5 speed transmission and Air Conditioning!  It was built on the original platform, the cab VIN number and frame numbers match.

Look how clean and nice it is underneath!  note the dual aluminized exhausts, with flowmaster mufflers, that go all the way back to the rear of the frame, and then exit out the side – keeps the exhaust away from that clean undercarriage!

I noticed a flaw / damage in the upper horizontal bar near the latch and the lower horizontal bar.

Most of the time I have to put the vehicle on the lift to get these shots – here, I just had to crawl underneath and ruin a T-shirt to get the pics!
