Every line, curve and angle is just right – the wheel openings have a rearward accent, giving the impression of speed!

IMG_6268.

The Avanti Gold paint is a high quality paint job, 2 stage color sanded and buffed, and matched exactly to the original color.

IMG_6272.

The Round Headlight cars are my favorites.  Note the new parking light / turn signal lenses, as well as the presence of the air grille – the very earliest cars didn’t have a grill, but most of the later ones did.

IMG_6274.

Beautiful new hood ornament and emblem – really captures the midcentury modern design aesthetic.

IMG_6276.

New sail panel emblems too – lots of attention to detail on this car!

IMG_6278.

Beautiful Chrome and tail lights.  The tail lights and backup lights work too.

Here’s the 289 Studebaker V8, with that great Paxton Supercharger that makes the engine come alive! It makes a lot of boost and really adds to the driving fun

IMG_6248.

Nice and correct! Note all the ignition shielding is there, and the factory correct orange fan – a warning to keep your fingers away when the car is running!

IMG_6251.

The Carburetor is the correct sealed unit, a Carter AFB that has special features to keeep the supercharger boost where it belongs.

IMG_6262.

Excellent headliner and very good original visors.  Note the headlight switches in the windshield headers

IMG_6232.

Lots of work done underneath, it has the Turner front disc brake system – GM Calipers and Ford vented Rotors .  New Waldron Exhaust with glass pack mufflers – Glass packs were installed new by the factory! and significant front suspension work including upper and lower control arm bushings, rebuilt bell crank, and new power steering ram. The Kingpins are excellent and did not require replacement.  This car drives tight and straight!  It does have a rear main seal leak, like many Studebaker V8’s.

IMG_6239.

Hog trough body supports look good and solid

IMG_6237.

Left side hog trough solid too. The doors fit and shut properly too.

IMG_6243.

There were some places at the lower surface of the frame that had rust, on the very thin 3/16 spot welded part.  So, these areas were cut out and properly welded back in.  The rest of the frame is great!

Here’s the repair on the left side.
