This 1936 Packard 1401 Coupe-Roadster has been in our family since 1954!  That’s when Dad purchased it from a police impound/ tow yard for $50.  Yes, that’s right. Fifty Bucks!  It ran, but the fuel pump was bad, so he had his friend Karl sit on the fender and pour gas in the carburetor, and drove it home !  Safety First!   Mom and Dad used to drive this car in the Northern Illinois region CCCA and Packards of Chicagoland events before we moved to California back in the early 70’s

After a beautiful restoration in 2006, it’s a striking and great running car in Packard Cream with Chinese Red accents, right from the Packard color chart!  It’s a Full CCCA Classic, welcome at all of their tours and shows, as well as AACA and Packard Clubs.

The defining feature of the Coupe-Roadster was the Rumbleseat!  it was listed officially by Packard as a 2/4 Passenger car!

The proportions are exactly right!  Long hood, sidemounts, and sleek roadster body style.

Lovely Chrome, Streamlined headlight buckets, and the icing on the cake, the pinstripes that match the wheel color!

Beautifully done fresh leather interior.   The pattern was taken from the ORIGINAL seat leather, which had been preserved nicely underneath the early 60’s interior.  So, this is done EXACTLY to the original pattern.  I include the original material with the car, just in case some wise guy wants to argue with the pleat spacing!
